At EpicApes, we chose blockchain technology as the foundation for our game to deliver a dynamic and immersive experience, giving players full ownership and transferability of in-game assets. At the core of our first game lies the $EPIC token, distributed fairly through airdrop events and designed to reward players for their time and effort.
Players can use $EPIC tokens in a variety of ways: spending them across other games, minting game-related NFTs, staking for additional rewards, or trading on exchanges. Additionally, a portion of the game’s revenue is allocated to buying back tokens from the market, fostering a healthy economy and driving greater engagement among players.
Our project is unique in that we bridge two powerful blockchain ecosystems: Cardano and TON. Each of these chains offers distinct advantages, which we believe will help us expand the utility and potential of NFTs in gaming.
Why Cardano?
Cardano has unlocked the full potential of NFTs in gaming, staking, and metadata updates — all without relying on a burning mechanism, thanks to Hydra. Cardano NFTs allow for dynamic updates, enabling us to evolve NFT as you progress. However, the Cardano ecosystem still has a relatively small community, which limits the broader adoption of its full-fledged NFT capabilities. This is where our integration with TON comes in — we aim to attract new users from the TON blockchain to discover and experience the rich NFT utilities available on Cardano.
Why TON?
TON is an excellent blockchain for gaming, offering fast transaction speeds and minimal fees, which is crucial for a smooth gaming experience. However, the TON ecosystem lacks widespread adoption of full-fledged NFTs, and its NFTs come with limitations, such as the inability to update metadata after minting. By introducing Cardano-based NFTs to TON, we aim to showcase how these limitations can be overcome, expanding the potential of TON’s NFT ecosystem. With our Cardano NFTs, we introduce features like staking, a trait system, and other utilities, demonstrating how TON can evolve to support more advanced and versatile NFTs.
In combining the strengths of both Cardano and TON, we are building a unique, cross-chain experience that leverages the best of both worlds, empowering players with the freedom and utility that blockchain technology provides.
